Day 1
Take a picnic and spend the day exploring the secrets of Oxford-Castle. Bring your learning to life by taking a tour with one of the costumed characters whose stories will guide you as you climb up the stunning Saxon Tower. There are lots of hands on workshops which use costume, documents, maps and original artifacts to explore a range of curriculum areas from KeyStage 1 – 4. Day 2
The Ashmolean Museum is a magical place. It is the world’s first university museum built to house the cabinet of curiosities that Elias Ashmole gave to the University of Oxford in 1677. From Egyptian mummies to Monumental Beasts it has it all!

Day 3
Visit the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, Blenheim Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage site in Woodstock. It is currently home to the 12th Duke of Marlborough and has over 300 years of history to discover and more than 2000 acres of landscaped parkland and gardens to explore. Their Education Team is brimming with knowledge and facts about the Palace and its history, and encourage students (and teachers!) to ask lots of questions and get involved.

Day 4
A trip to Didcot Railway Centre offers pupils an exciting and unique opportunity to visit an historical site where they can learn, and gain hands-on experience, about many topics in the science, technology and social history aspects of the curriculum at stages 1, 2 and 3. In the afternoon why not chill out completely and visit the Island Farm Donkey Sanctuary, you might even decide to adopt one!
