Sussex is a large county comprising of East and West Sussex. School trips to Sussex are close enough to London for a day trip, it is a good base to explore the South East of England. Hidden in the undulating countryside and chalkland downs are pretty villages and gardens and with an 80 mile coastline there is a lot to explore.

Day 1
Start your journey to East Sussex with a stop off enroute at Drusillas Park where you can visit over 140 exotic animals and learning experts are excited to enhance your experience with a 30-minute curriculum-linked education session, including opportunities for pupils to stroke animals. Continue your journey to your accommodation for evening meal with free time afterwards for teacher led activities in the grounds.
Day 2
After a hearty breakfast make your way to Go Ape in Bedgebury Forest for a full day of high ropes, and team building activities amongst the trees. Evening meal back at your accommodation with time to unwind afterwards.
Day 3
Today you head off for Hastings and take the funicular railway up the cliff and head to Smugglers Adventure. The views from the clifftop are amazing and after visiting the caves and eating your packed lunch, you head down the steps through the old town. Explore the fishing harbour before walking along the beach for a game of crazy gold and perhaps an ice cream. Head back to your accommodation for dinner and to relax.
Day 4
Load up your coach and depart your accommodation with a stop off enroute at The Observatory Science Centre at Herstmonceux where everyone can experience Spectacular Science through the medium of interactive activities- every exhibit is designed to be played with to see what happens; investigate, learn and have fun! After lunch, continue your journey back to school.
