The first thing that strikes you on a school trip to Liverpool are the wide boulevards and the grand and magnificent buildings of this amazing city. It really is worth spending a few days here to fully appreciate what this city has to offer and to discover the best places to visit and best of all most activities can be accessed on foot without the need for coach travel between visits.

Day 1

Depart school and drive to Liverpool. Arrive at your accommodation and after checking in take a walking tour around the city before an evening meal at a local restaurant. 

Day 2

Morning visit to The British-Music-Experience that tells the story of music for a guided tour and workshop. In the afternoon visit The Beatles-Story at Albert Dock to learn about this iconic group. After, time to relax and an early evening meal, afterwards board the magical mystery bus for a tour around the city. 

Day 3

This morning take a trip across the famous River Mersey with Mersey-Ferries. Their ferry, Snowdrop is a dazzling ship, designed by Sir Peter Blake the artist who created The Beatles Sgt. Pepper’s Album Cover.

You will be able to see the famous landmarks of Liverpool; including the Three Graces the Royal Liverpool Building; the Cunard Building and the Port of Liverpool Building all built at the beginning of the 20th century when the city was a famous transmigration port for people from all over Northern Europe heading for a new life in America.

Enjoy the commentary about the history of Liverpool and how the ferries were used in World War 1 and the history of dazzle camouflage.

Late morning, take a trip across the Mersey to Eureka Science and Discovery who bring Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) to life for students up to KS3.

Afterwards visit one of the Liverpool Museums either for self-led visits or for curriculum linked education sessions. Evening meal at the accommodation by visit to the theatre. 

Day 4

In the morning check out of the accommodation and head to Anfield football stadium to experience the museum and stadium tour at the home of Liverpool FC.  After lunch, continue your journey home.
