London is the undisputed capital of culture, with over 40 world class museums many of which are FREE!  There is so much to see and do on school trips to London and we have schools coming back each year to discover something new. A great resource for any subject. This itinerary is for a history and English trip but London is a terrific city for most subjects.

Why not arrange a trip to the Palace of Westminster?  Through your local MP you can arrange a guided tour of the House of Commons and book an educational programmes with the House of Commons Education Team. Theatre and Drama, from steel band workshops to behind the scenes at a top West End theatre your pupils will be inspired to learn. Visit the Royal Observatory at Greenwich followed by taking in a show at the Planetarium and then walk down through the wonderful parkland to visit the National Maritime Museum before catching a boat up the river to the London-Eye. London Zoo is one of the world’s most prestigious Zoos and a wonderful place to visit to teach your pupils about conservation and protecting the world’s most vulnerable species.  Afterwards picnic in Regents Park, and then visit Madame Tussauds for an afternoon of amusement and fun.

Day 1
Travel to London arriving in the afternoon to check in to your accommodation. Enjoy a pre-theatre dinner at a Covent Garden restaurant before heading to the theatre to see the first of your chosen shows.

Day 2
This morning we head to the West End for a bespoke masterclass with Theatre Workout which can cover all forms of theatre and performance, such as acting, Shakespeare, storytelling, devising, physical theatre, musical theatre and more…  After lunch there is an opportunity for a spot of shopping and enjoying the street performers at Covent Garden before returning to your accommodation to change and after an early dinner head to the theatre for your second show.

Day 3
After a late night we start today with a relaxing cruise down the Thames. Disembark at St Pauls Cathedral for a tour then we will walk across the Millennium bridge and up to the Shakespeare’s Globe for an afternoon performance.  There will be time afterwards to enjoy the scenes and sights of the South Bank or an afternoon ride on the London-Eye.  After dinner it is time to pack as we head off in the morning.

Day 4
Depart by Coach and head for the Warner Bros Studios near Watford for the Making of Harry Potter visiting the world-famous authentic sets of one of the most successful film franchises of all time.  Depart mid-afternoon to continue your journey home.
