Eden Camp Modern History Museum

Eden Camp Modern History Museum

At Eden Camp, we bring the history of World War Two to life, with stories of real people, real events, and real memories; visit today and experience the sights, sounds and smells of wartime Britain.

Eden Camp Modern History Museum

Eden Camp Modern History Museum is set in the buildings and grounds of an original prisoner of war camp that held Italians and Germans, each reconstructed scene reveals the realities of day-to-day life on the Home Front and the Front Line, capturing the spirit, sacrifice, and humour of our nation at war.

Brand new to our 2021 reopening, we will be providing live talks and demonstrations featuring WW2 reenactors with authentic equipment, plus the chance to help “build history” in Eden Camp Heritage Restorations’ Tank Bank.

We have also been working hard on our new digital additions! You can now visit our museum from afar through our Virtual Tour – if you and your school/group enjoy trips to us but can’t make it in person, you can book your tour making sure you don’t miss out on our fantastic resources!

With thanks to the many supporters and donators over the years, our archive is now reaching over 77,000 items not including those on display!

Now we can share all of this history with you with our new Digital Archive now live! Gain free VIP access to thousands of records, items, and personal memories from throughout both World Wars and after!

Our ongoing project means items are added every week, with high-res imagery and full history of each item so you can explore never before seen history, showcasing first-hand accounts of wartime Britain.

Free on-site parking is available for up to 400 cars and we have a dedicated area for coaches, minibuses, motorhomes, and caravans. Onsite facilities include WinStan’s Bunker Café, and our gift shop for some fantastic Eden Camp goodies to take home!
