Bodmin, Cornwall Families looking for an unforgettable day out this May Half Term are invited to experience Cornwall’s most immersive historic attraction – Bodmin Jail – where kids go free from 24th May to 1st June 2025.

With every paying adult, one child (aged 15 or under) can enjoy free entry to the jail’s award-winning self-guided experience, which includes the acclaimed Dark Walk, interactive exhibits, and the chance to explore the historic cells and rich history of this 18th-century prison.

This special offer is a fantastic opportunity for families across to connect with one of the region’s most iconic heritage sites, and to explore 240 years of local history through the jail’s immersive self-guided experience – including the award-winning Dark Walk.

The experience brings Cornwall’s criminal past to life with engaging storytelling, atmospheric soundscapes, and museum-quality displays that fascinate adults and children alike. Visitors can explore the original cells, walk in the footsteps of Victorian prisoners, and uncover the stories of those who lived – and died – behind the granite walls.
