Walk Amongst 140 Monkeys at Trentham Monkey Forest!

Written by: Elmtree Press

Trentham Monkey Forest is now open daily and is the perfect opportunity for a school trip to combine fun with conservation and animal education as well as English, Science, Art and more.

Monkey Forest is unique to the UK and is home to 140 free-roaming Barbary macaques. Students are able to get an in-depth insight into the lives of these fascinating monkeys as they live just as they would in the wild, within a beautiful Staffordshire woodland. Watch the monkey antics as it unfolds before your eyes and see the monkeys walk straight past you – an unforgettable experience!

As well as offering educator-led visits, Monkey Forest make it easy for you to plan a self-led school trip too, with no need to book. The forest is ideally set up for self-led visits and we have a range of downloadable documents on our website to help make the day hassle free.

The 12 babies from last year are now very amusing to watch and with baby season fast approaching it’s the perfect time to book your trip to Monkey Forest.
