Matilda The Musical to feature in V&A Exhibition

Matilda The Musical is the multi award-winning musical from the Royal Shakespeare Company, inspired by the beloved book by the incomparable Roald Dahl. Winner of over 50 major international awards, including 12 for Best Musical, Matilda continues to delight audiences in London, Australia, on Broadway and on tour around the USA.

Matilda The Musical is the perfect treat for students of all ages and is a fantastic introduction to theatre. With strong curriculum links to Literacy, PSHE and SEAL, as well as English, Drama, Art & Design, Matilda is the ideal school trip for Key Stage 2 and above. Pre-show education workshops for primary and secondary schools are also available and are designed to introduce your students to the story of Matilda The Musical. Led by RSC practitioners these active 90 minute sessions can be tailored to meet the needs of students of all ages from 6 years old and upwards. From 9 February, the set model for Matilda The Musical, designed by Rob Howell will be featured in the V&A’s exhibition Curtain Up: Celebrating 40 Years of Theatre in London and New York. Curated by the V&A and The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center, and in partnership with the Society of London Theatre, this exhibition will celebrate the rich creative theatre talent in the West End of London and New York’s Broadway.
