Learning Experiences At The Deep
With so much to learn why not take advantage of the
following events that are happening at The Deep over the next few months.
Plastic Travels – February Half-Term
Take a journey from shelf to shore and explore the voyage of
everlasting plastics and the impact that they have on the environment and our
oceans. Joined by the local wildlife charity RSPB who will be teaching us all
about how to protect the variety of life along the Yorkshire coast. Interactive
trails and crafting activities through the holidays from 11am – 4pm.
CSI Seashore – Easter Holidays
Join The Deep’s special agents as they take a trip to our
native coastline to find out what can be uncovered at the seaside. Help the
team solve the crimes as they go and you might even earn a CSI badge of your
own! Lend a hand in their interactive presentation at 11.30am and 3.30pm,
follow Inspector Sharky’s trail (available all day) and make your own sand art
(extra charges may apply).
Junior Experience Day – Various dates available
For children aged between 8 and 11 with a passion for marine
animals, then why not get involved in our of The Deep’s Junior Experience Days?
Children can get hands on with helping out with some of The Deep’s daily
activities with the The Deep crew!
The Deep Experience – Various dates available
A 1 to 1 experience for those with a love of the marine
world. Ideal for youngsters with a passion for the marine world or are
interested in getting into Marine Biology. Suitable for participants aged 8 and
Little Nippers – Every Tuesday Mornings (Term-Time)
Between 9.30am and 11am, children under the age of 2 are
welcome to join in with a sing-a-long and story time in The Deep’s soft play
area full of fun-filled discovery and play. Adults pay standard admission for
12 months entry then it’s just £1 per session for your little nipper!
Tranquil Tuesdays – First Tuesday of the Month (Term-Time)
From 3pm until closing the lights will be brighter and the
audio turned down, creating a tranquil environment for our visitors. This is
