BeWILDerwood Cheshire offer FREE return visits for school children!

As if it wasn’t exciting enough that Cheshire’s WILDest day out reopened last month, the outdoor woodland attraction has just announced that they will now be offering school visits – and they come with some brilliant perks. Not only do schools get a discounted rate for bookings over 15 people, but all children also receive a voucher for them to return for free!

‘Le Grand Fromage’, author and creator of BeWILDerwood Tom Blofeld said, “We’re thrilled to finally be able to offer school trips at BeWILDerwood Cheshire. It’s something that is very popular over at our Norfolk site so we’re sure the schools of Cheshire and the surrounding areas will enjoy running WILD in the woods. BeWILDerwood is the perfect venue for a school trip. We really focus on traditional play, going back to basics which is what the children love so much – as well as trying to spot the odd Boggle or Twiggle too! There is nothing like getting outdoors, getting a little muddy, and using your imagination to its fullest.”

The park is based on a series of enchanting stories and characters, which can be incorporated into any trip to BeWILDerwood. There’s a whole range of literacy and performing arts fun to be had as interactive storytelling sessions bring the story ‘A Boggle at BeWILDerwood’ to life. With multiple interactive shows on each day which are sure to get the audience on their feet. Visitors can also try their hand at arts and crafts in the Big Hat craft tent, making something extra special to take home.

As well as the storytelling and crafts, the natural woodland setting offers the opportunity to explore a range of subjects such as science, maths and geography – simply grab a map or explore the wildlife that lives in the woods. It’s also the perfect setting to challenge balance and coordination skills, incorporating physical education as students (and teachers) climb, clamber and play in the woods. The team encourages visitors to read the books before or after visiting to extend the adventure even more. These can be purchased online or whilst on-site and would make the perfect pre or post-visit activity in the classroom.

School visits must be booked in Cheshire term time only and require a minimum of 15 paying visitors to qualify for the discounted rate. School rates are £10 per child and for any additional adults. The park offers 1 free adult for every 5 children.

So, if you’re a preschool or primary school teacher on the hunt for the perfect trip to reward your little explorers, look no further!
