40000 reasons to visit WWT Slimbridge this winter

Written by: Elmtree Press

This is a fantastic time to come and visit for an amazing learning experience outdoors. An explosion of colour and sound awaits you this autumn and winter time at WWT Slimbridge.

Head to our hides to see up to 40,000 wild birds on the scenic reserve or stroll around our beautiful wetlands admiring our collection of fancy flamingos, exotic geese and ducks.

Then from November see our winter showstoppers: the magical Bewick’s swans from one of the hides that surround the Centre grounds. These birds have flown 2,500 miles to spend the winter with us and have amazing stories to tell.

Add to that hand feeding the birds, otters, amphibians, tiny harvest mice, indoor and outdoor playspots for youngsters, it really is the perfect wild day out.

To book a visit today call 01453 891117 or email education.slimbridge@wwt.org.uk.

Enjoy our autumn/winter package for schools, all included in your admission price:
