Royal Armouries Museum Leeds
Royal Armouries is proud to hold a national collection of arms and armour to rival any in the world.
Immerse your pupils in real history with a visit to the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds – home of the national collection of weapons and armour. Our education workshops use the amazing objects on display to deliver real ‘wow’ moments your pupils will never forget, enhancing the love of learning developed in the classroom.
To boost their learning outside of the classroom your pupils will get hands on with real and replica objects, see live demonstrations of combat skills, historic guns being fired, plus our costumed characters will engage them in fun interactive challenges.
Our workshops include:
KS1: Knights and Castles
KS2: Roman Rule: Boudicca’s Revolt, Ancient Greeks: Myths and Legends, Saxon Sagas, Vikings: Raider vs Trader, Tudor Tournament, Explore the Great War, Second World War: Home Front
KS3 & KS4 (adaptable to any GCSE spec): Norman Conquest, British Empire, English Civil War, Trench Warfare
