National Forest Adventure Farm

The National Forest Adventure Farm offers exciting indoor fun, outdoor adventure zones and fantastic farm animals. We aim to deliver an experience that gives your pupils inspiration and information together with the opportunity to have fun and a sprinkling of adventure along the way!


What can you expect? 

  • An hour-long workshop linked to Key Stages 1, 2 and EYFS Learning Goals 
  • Dedicated base for your school either in a marquee or our main building 
  • Tractor ride for your group 
  • Access to all indoor and outdoor play plus animal areas 
  • Free teacher places (ratio 1:5) plus pre-visit (1 teacher per class for site visit and risk assessment) 

Our ‘Amazing Animals’ Workshop 

Ever wondered how many stomachs a cow has? Or how alpacas communicate? Find out all about the amazing animals at the Forest Adventure Farm both in our animal barn and outside paddocks. Meet farm animals including cows, pigs, goats and sheep. See our hatchery and make your way through the Chicken Walk-Thru. Also pet our guinea pigs and Shetland ponies.

  • Understand the roles in which animals play in our lives and what they provide for us

Our ‘Healthy Plants, Healthy People’ Workshop 

Learn all about the different parts of a plant, what they need to grow and how to take care of them. Search to find out which animals and insects are a ‘friend or pest’ to growing plants. Then plant your own bean to take home and look after!

Our ‘North Pole Adventure’ School Visits 

  • An hour long school version of our North Pole Adventure 
  • Meet Father Christmas and choice of present 
  • Dedicated base for your school either in a marquee or our main building 
  • Tractor ride for your group 
  • Access to all indoor and outdoor play plus animal areas 

All of our amazing workshops include access to the entire site, meaning your group can have a blast in the huge indoor soft play, explore the outdoor adventure zones such as the go-karts, jumping pillows, mega slide and much more, as well as the incredible animal barn!
