Llandudno has so much to offer for any age school trip, a lot of our repeat school’s make use of the Great Orme Package as there is so much history, geography and environmental educational value to enjoy.  This consists of Victorian tram ride up the Great Orme, a visit to the Bronze-Age copper mine which is a unique experience, followed by a warden walk to discover the Bronze age stone house foundations, finding fossils and enjoying the habitat and fauna.  After enjoying your 3 course evening meal, finish the day off with a trip to either the North or West shore beaches and back to the hostel for a drink and biscuit before bed.

A short train journey away is a Llandudno junction with its leisure centre and R.S.P.B. reserve, which is great for pond dipping. A short walk into the medieval walled town of Conwy, great for exploring Conwy Castle; most schools can experience the castle for free and view Britain’s smallest house. There is also the medieval merchant house of Plas Mawr and Tudor Aberconwy House, so plenty of history to seep in.

If Adventure is your thing then Llandudno and Snowdonia have plenty to offer. There is a new Boathouse indoor climbing wall, a dry ski slope and toboggan run, Bonkerz Playbarn and Bodafon Farm Park is all great fun.  A bus or train trip away is adventure Snowdonia, Go Below cave experience, Greenwood Forest Park and the many attractions of the Zipworld group such as their amazing rope work course etc.

If Art is your thing we have links with local artists to do environmental art workshops on the North Shore beach, story writing and puppet workshops. There is also the Mostyn gallery and Venue Cymru theatre to tickle your fancy.

Llandudno is perfect for learning outside the classroom, with the beach, fantastic views & Great Orme Bronze-Age heritage on your doorstep.  Don’t forget we are happy to give free advice for activities in our local area and are happy to book your programme on your behalf saving you valuable admin time.  Llandudno is a rewarding learning environment for teaching out of the classroom.
