Day One

Stop off enroute to Oxford at Ferry Meadows at Nene Park for an afternoon of environmental learning with the Discovery Den Education Centre where there are a range of activities on offer from Living Rivers, Plants and their Environment up to Romans and Stone Age topics. Continue your journey to Oxford to allocate accommodation and evening meal followed by slightly spooky ghost walk of the city. 

Day Two

After breakfast head off to the Bodleian Library for a guided tour to go behind the scenes at one of the world’s oldest working libraries.  Follow this with a guided walking tour of Oxford taking in the historic university buildings and discover how Oxford grew from a small market town to become the city of dreaming spires. Complete the day with a river cruise before heading back to your accommodation for an evening meal.

Day Three

Morning visit to the Museum of Oxford where you can include gallery visits, specially designed trails, hands-on workshops and guided tours to discover everything about Oxford and the people who have lived here.  After lunch spend the afternoon exploring Oxford Castle. Bring your learning to life by taking a tour with one of the costumed characters whose stories will guide you as you climb up the stunning Saxon Tower. There are lots of hands-on workshops which use costume, documents, maps and original artifacts to explore a range of curriculum areas from Key Stage 1-4. Evening meal at accommodation with free time afterwards for teacher led activities. 

Day Four

Depart your accommodation and head out of Oxford to the Silverstone Interactive Museum where you can explore the exhibition taking you through the past, present and future of motorsport. Learn about the engineering and technology that has changed the world in the Technology Lab before exploring part of the retired circuit. Continue your journey home mid-afternoon.
