The tour accesses some of the most exclusive parts of the stadium. Take a seat in the England Dressing room, absorb the atmosphere in the royal box, visit the VIP areas used to entertain guest on match days, get a birds eye view from the top of a stand and imagine the roar of the crowd as you run out of the players’ tunnel to pitch side.
In addition to a stadium tour education groups are offered a workshop or seminar providing a hands-on learning experience, or the opportunity to discuss the ins and outs of the Rugby Football Union and Twickenham Stadium with a professional in the field.
Spotlight on: Rugby in Motion: GPS Technology and Fitness Training
This workshop investigates body mechanics, training programmes and how GPS technology is assisting the development of elite athletes. Students will learn how speed, strength, power, endurance and agility are essential to the modern game and how different combinations of each are vital to different positions on the rugby field. Students will assemble their own all-star teams and training programmes based on what they have learnt. Suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 this seminar is an extension of ‘What Kind of Rugby Player Are You?’ for KS2.
