    The City of Caves consists of a medieval tannery, WW2 air raid shelter and the remnants of Drury Hill Victorian slums. Dig deeper into the history of Nottingham and discover a world beneath your feet in these historic sandstone caves. Take an archaeological journey under some of Nottingham’s most famous streets and explore how these sandstones caves have been formed and used over time
    Education workshops are available for Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 at the City of Caves and provide a memorable and engaging learning experience that will stimulate curiosity and interest. Hands-on activities for schools and groups at the Caves include Cave Detectives, Cave Explorers, Nottingham Rocks and Creating Caves. These sessions are facilitator-led by the experienced NCCL learning team. Take your classroom to the caves and investigate the social history and geography of Nottingham.
