    Dating from the 1870s, Beaulieu’s newly restored Victorian Kitchen offers an immersive setting where learning comes to life.

    All of Beaulieu’s education programmes have been updated to meet the modern curriculum and can be tailored to cover areas such as:

    -    A significant series of events (The Victorian Era 1837 – 1901)
    -    Famous person (Queen Victoria)
    -    Literacy (Street Child, Oliver Twist, Tom’s Midnight Garden, Hetty Feather)

    Palace House programmes on offer include:

    The Victorians – Pupils take on the role of Victorian school children seeking employment as kitchen maids, housemaids, footmen or chauffeurs to learn about life in a Victorian country house.

    Houses & Homes – Learn about familiar and unusual objects from Victorian times with this hands-on programme, including the chance to dress up in smocks and collars.

    Beaulieu is home to over 800 years of history and also offers a range of educational programmes in the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu Abbey and The Secret Army Exhibition.
