It is hoped to extend the current offer by tracing continuity and change in each topic, from Georgian times, through the Edwardian period and into the mid-20th Century, with immersive hands-on enquiry, in structured thematic days. Students will be inspired to use a range of skills whilst investigating.
If you are teaching one of these curriculum areas, and would like to bring the subject matter to life through immersive investigations at the museum, these Development Days are a perfect opportunity to learn more about the pilot projects:
• Find out about funding available to bring students to the museum
• Experience a hands-on immersive activity
• Motivate students with an immersive enquiry-based experience
• Help guide developments at the museum
• Learn about new exhibits planned through Remaking Beamish
The development days are free of charge, including complimentary lunch AND the museum is able to offer £100 funding towards supply cover to support your attendance.
