Recipes and Remedies from the Garden Sunday 21st July

Historic garden tours, 17th century recipes to taste and traditional remedies for all ailments – find out how the produce of the manor gardens are used to feed the Household and the difference between what the Prichard family ate and what their servants ate.

    The produce of the physic garden was used to make remedies for everyday ailments (as well as a few unusual afflictions!) in the restored Still Room – the Still Room maid will explain what she uses to treat coughs and colds or injuries or which herbs keep the fleas at bay!.  Traditional live music will be played in the gardens during the day by the Tune Club.
