Chill Factore will host a number of stands and demos at the foot of its indoor slope where you can learn about the latest scientific advances in snowsport engineering and technology, focusing on body armour, search and rescue devices, helmets and wrist protection. Chill Factore staff will be on hand to showcase the venues hi-tech equipment and programmes that help us run a safe and controlled environment 365 days of the year.
The snow centre, Chill Factore has teamed up with Snow+Rock and sports engineers to celebrate science in the ‘coolest’ way with Snowfest. Showcasing everything from the physics of flips to the latest advances in body armour, and auxetic materials, as well as insights into how all the snow gear you take for granted is tested in the lab, Snowtek has it all. The whole event takes place during Chill Factore’s Boobytrap Freestyle Event where ski and snowboard enthusiasts can see Manchester’s finest freestyle fanatics take on the slope or even get involved themselves.
Chill Factore will host a number of stands and demos both on and off the snow to delight guests and demonstrate the latest scientific advances in snow sports. Some of the demos and showcases will require you to be a competent skier or snowboarder to take part. Don’t worry if you’ve never skied before, there are plenty of interesting things to discover at Snowtek.
The Event is free to attend and reduced price lift and snow park passes will be available on the night
