Discover the sensational stories and wonderful features of Portsmouth Harbour and get creative with inspiration from our spectacular view! Listen to talks and join fun, interactive workshops led by inspirational people on our doorstep! Grab your ‘Catch me at the Harbour’ trail, illustrated by local artist, Kate Rees, and solve the clues whilst you explore the Tower’s harbour view. Keep the little ones entertained with our nautical crafts table in the Waterfront Café too!

    Workshops and activities

     

    Monday 27th May, 1-3pm – Bird Aware Solent

     

    Learn all about birds with Bird Aware Solent and those who return to the Solent every winter, the migration they undertake and why they are here! Have a go at their brand new ‘How unique is your beak?’ game. To learn why different birds have different shaped beaks depending on the food that they eat.

     

    Tuesday 28th May, 1-3pm – Final Straw Solent

     

    Find out about plastic pollution, what you can do to help and how it effects the wildlife with The Final Straw.

     

    Wednesday 29th May, 1-3pm – Natural England

     

    Discover ‘What’s in the Mud?’ with Natural England and learn all about the important species and habitats that live in the harbour. Enjoy educational talks too, including ‘From mud to Fish & Chips!’ and more!

     

    Thursday 30th May, 11am-1pm – Pompey in the Community

     

    Join us at the Tower with Pompey in the Community where we will have the EFL Checkatrade Trophy and Portsmouth Football Club Mascot, Nelson! Junior Blues go free with a full paying adult too!

     

    Thursday 30th May, 1-3pm – Blue Marine Foundation and the Solent Project

     

    Study the world of marine creatures, get crafty and interact with the Blue Marine Foundation and Solent Project.

     

    Friday 31st May, 1-3pm – Ian Whitmore, Isle of Wight Artist

     

    Make a sun-print keepsake with artist Ian Whitmore using stencils and junk materials to create snapshots of local wildlife from above and below the waves!

     

    Saturday 1st & Sunday 2nd June, 1-3pm – Black Hat Theatricals

     

    Join the pirate school on View Deck 1 with Sea Legs Sally and Captain Jackie, before searching the Tower for Miranda the Mermaid and see if she’ll share the pirate treasure with you!
