Are you scared yet?  If not, there are plenty of amazingly scary places to go.  Here are some more to visit!

 

It’s no secret that they love Halloween at The York Dungeon. In fact, they love it so much, that each year they become the Home of Halloween, and the best place to get all the scares, laughs and excitement throughout the whole of October. You can expect late openings, family events, new shows, lots of decorations and pumpkins and lots more including “Hide and Shriek”

 

Happy Halloween at Paultons is the friendliest, most frightful fun fest in the UK; with over 2000 pumpkins, ghostly scenes, spooky meet and greets, Freaky Fancy Dress competition, the thrilling Little Monsters Ball finale to finish each day and Paultons fun rides and attractions all included in the price! Happy Halloween at Paultons Park now has even more spooky fun to enjoy with a spook-tacular new show and a comically frightful walk-through experience.

 

 At Halloween Treetop Nets by Night, fearless adventurers can enjoy the first ever ‘Nets by Night’ - a special after-dark party where you can bounce in the illuminated treetops with a few petree-fying spooks hiding in the trees!

With neon face paints getting an extra glow thanks to UV lighting, it promises to be a spooky experience that you won’t want to forget in a hurry. Completely surrounded by 3m high walls of netting, without the need for a safety harness, Halloween thrill-seekers will have nothing but ghosts and ghouls and a few extra large spiders to fear!

 

From 13th Oct to 4th Nov you can explore Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre and Country Park and find their ghoulish residents in a Halloween Hunt! You need to complete a sheet from the ticket office to claim your reward.

 

Something spooky is going on at Twycross Zoo this October Half Term – bring your little monsters for a wicked Halloween day out! The wicked Twycross witch is back from 11am every day – join them and take part in lots of frightfully fun FREE* activities throughout your family day out!

Grab your best Halloween costume and head on down to The Canterbury Tales! Join them on a spooky quest through Chaucer’s famous 'Canterbury Tales'!

  

Lightwater Valley is set to be transformed into ‘Frightwater Valley’ as part of its spooky Halloween celebrations. The North Yorkshire theme park will be hosting a series of spooktacular events and activities designed to appeal to visitors of all ages. From family-friendly scares to truly terrifying encounters there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Visitors can also join in the frightful fun as part of the Halloween Fancy Dress Competition which will be taking place on the Lightwater stage between 3pm-3.30pm each day.

Classic creeps and old school ghouls are descending on East Lancashire Railway for a full on Halloween experience. Take a spooky steam train ride to Rawtenstall and back alongside a ghostly gang of hilarious haunters, every child receives a goody bag full of tricks and treats!


National Coal Mining Museum’s Family Halloween Experience will start with a trip down the mine followed by a guided tour around the old pit building where there are some spooky stories to be told!

 

Halloween Scream Express is happening at the North Bay Railway. As part of the week long themed Halloween event they will have some spine chilling special trains running. The Halloween Express will depart from Peasholm for a spooky return train ride to Scalby Mills. Anyone who is in fancy dress will get a prize (including adults)

 

Halloween is coming to… North Yorkshire Moors Railway!
Join them on board the Halloween Train, which will take you and your family on a spooky journey this Halloween! Children and their scaredy-cat grown-ups will love meeting their silly, spectacular and sometimes spooky cast of storytellers. Hear their ghoulish tales, join in with their scary songs and be prepared for moments of magic. This will be an evening of Steam & Scream!

Scary spooks and witches, ghosts and goblins in the ditches at Thorp Perrow Arboretum! The spook-tacular Halloween trail is back – follow it if you dare!

 

Something spooky is going on at Twycross Zoo this October Half Term! Your little monsters will have a wicked Halloween day out! The wicked Twycross witch is back from 11am every day; Join in with Singing Songs and Casting Spells around her cauldron, Meet & Greets around the zoo with Tips the Monkey, Halloween photo opportunities in the Plaza, PLUS see if you can spot her visiting some of the animals around the zoo!

 

White Post Farm is feeling spooky too. Their Halloween Festival kicks off on Saturday 27th October and runs throughout half term until Friday 2nd November! Woo! Go along and join them for animal activities, Pumpkin Picking/Carving, Creepy Crawlie Club, Broomstick School, Slime Workshops, Circus Skills and an extra special show.

All in  all there are lots of spooky places to visit this Halloween, go visit and have a screamingly good time!
