Shakespeare Comes to the Workhouse Museum Garden this Summer
Shakespeare comes to Ripon this summer, as theatre company The Three Inch Fools take to the road with five actors, all manner of musical instruments and an inventive take on Shakespeare’s raucous comedy The Merry Wives of Windsor, which will arrive at the Workhouse Museum Gardens on Friday 25 June.
The Three Inch Fools are an innovative touring theatre company acclaimed for their fast-paced and musically driven approach to Shakespeare.
They have built a reputation for staging bold and vibrant productions, using all sorts of different instruments, plenty of multi-roling and many a quick costume change along the way. For each production, they create a completely original musical soundtrack collaborating with rising star composer Stephen Hyde.
This year The Fools are looking forward to an incredible summer on the road traveling the length and breadth of the UK with their modern take on the traditional touring troupe. The company are in their seventh year of touring, having so far performed at over 150 venues and to almost 60,000 audience members.
They will perform in the Workhouse Museum Garden on Friday 25 June at 7pm, with doors from 6.30pm. Tickets cost £16 for adults, £10 for under 18s, free for under 6s or a family ticket (two adults and two children) is £45. There will be a bar available at the event.
Bring your own blankets, cushions and camping-chairs, and join us on our outdoor adventure. Come prepared for the weather – the performance will continue come rain come shine.
