Find out about the incredible history of women workers in this one off half term event and discover how women in industry changed the course of history. Step inside the Museum’s Workers’ Institute on its 10th anniversary and discover how women workers of the Black Country set the fight for a fair wage in motion. Families will also be able to meet a ‘munitionette’ as well as a lady chainmaker and hear about all about her hard life making the region’s largest export, the chain. Plus you’ll be able to get hands on with themed craft activities or explore 26 acres of period shops and houses as you complete the Museum’s family friendly trail.
