Best value self-catering accommodation in Wensleydale at the Jonas Centre

Written by: Elmtree Press

The Jonas Centre is uniquely positioned to provide all that is needed for schools and groups, seeking relaxation, to enjoy all that the Yorkshire Dales has to offer. We have twelve self-catering log cabins and a converted Granary Barn with reception and shop, our main hall along with a kitchen and two lounges. The Jonas Centre can accommodate up to 84 people.
The ground floor of our Granary Barn is divided into a fully equipped professional kitchen and an open plan multi-purpose meeting room, measuring 36ft x 18ft. In suitable weather conditions this can also provide access to a hard standing reception area and enclosed lawn ideal for picnics and barbecues.
The meeting room is equipped with a piano, electric keyboard, DVD player, OHP screen, and flip chart. Seating can be arranged to accommodate guests at mealtimes around 12 tables.
The catering kitchen allows groups to plan their own meals. Plenty of fridge, freezer and larder space is available. The Centre has also successfully used local caterers for groups that do not wish to prepare their own food.
On the upper floor of the Granary Barn there are two separate lounges, often used as additional meeting rooms in a more relaxed and informal environment. Each is equipped with TV, DVD, VCR, CD/tape players and each lounge can accommodate around 15 people. Wireless internet is available within the immediate area of the Granary Barn during your stay and requires free registration at reception.
With such facilities at their disposal, churches, schools and other organisations find the Jonas Centre to be the ideal venue for conferences, training, teaching, fellowship and fun.
Our facilities are ideally suited for a variety of purposes including, anniversary celebrations, family gatherings, reunion weekends, team-building breaks and walking weekends.
We welcome enquiries from those who might benefit from what The Jonas Centre can offer and will be pleased to discuss the needs of specific groups.
