Bedford School had a school trip York last weekend and had a brilliant time. They stayed at Carlton Lodge in Thirsk where they had 'superb service and food'. The focus was on history and religious studies and we managed to tick all the boxes! A 'very enjoyable and informative trip' to Eden Camp where the group could experience conditions in wartime Britain was followed by a day in York. York Minster provided an 'Outstanding and truly awesome experience. All our students were moved by the spiritual and cultural dimension that York Minster offers.' Their volunteer guide, Timo was 'outstanding in his knowledge and engaging manner to our students. He provided inspiration and insight to the Minster. We would highly recommend Timo to any secondary school visitors.' Tea at Pizza Hut was followed by a Ghost Walk around York by Ghost Walk of York.
