York’s Chocolate Story’s educational programme can bring the National Curriculum to life in ways you might not expect. As accredited Quality Badge holders and Silver Finalist of a British Youth Travel Award, why not leave your school trip in our capable hands?
Take your class on a fascinating, fully guided tour and discover how York became the UK’s home of chocolate. Explore the origins of cocoa, find out how to taste chocolate like an expert, have a go at our hands-on chocolate making station and enjoy live chocolatier demonstrations! Curriculum based science, design and history workshops can be added to your visit, and include:

•    NEW! KS2: ‘Meet the Mayas – The Original Chocolatiers’
•    KS1/KS2: ‘Adventures in the Chocolate Factory’
•    KS2: ‘Changing States with Chocolate’
•    KS2/KS3/KS4: ‘The Next Big Thing’

All of the workshop sessions at York's Chocolate Story have been carefully put together to enhance an educational visit and to help teaching professionals meet with their learning objectives. Every session is delivered by a member of our Education team, lasting one hour and hosted at a partner venue just a short walk away from York's Chocolate Story. The combination visit will last approximately three hours, including a short lunch break.
