York’s CHOCOLATE Story

York’s Chocolate Story, located in the heart of York, offers educational groups an entertaining and informative guided tour through the history of York’s most famous chocolate-making families and their finest creations.

Children can discover chocolate’s origins, how to make it, how to taste it like an expert and even explore the sustainable future of chocolate. From the origins of cocoa to the household names of Rowntree’s, Terry’s and Craven’s, groups can uncover a host of surprising secrets and fascinating facts behind York’s greatest chocolate products, from the Chocolate Orange to the globally famous Kit Kat.

Groups can now enhance an educational visit with one of our curriculum based science, literacy, history or design based workshops, allowing primary schools to enjoy a wonderful hands-on learning experience.  For more details of how our chocolate workshops can meet with your curriculum needs or for free teaching resources, please contact our Reservations team directly. There’s so much for you to enjoy and discover at York’s Chocolate Story in the UK’s home of chocolate!
