City Cruises York
Once the Captain has welcomed your group aboard, they will keep you
entertained with a live commentary that contains a balanced account of
York’s Roman, Viking and Industrial past, with additional reference to
local fauna, the history of the development of the River Ouse, local
architecture, life on the river itself and its role in the progress of
York’s emergence as one of the most pivotal cities in the north of
England.
Your group will have seating reserved at a pre-arranged
departure time from a choice of two locations. You are more than welcome
to bring your packed lunches with you to eat on board; we will happily
dispose of the rubbish for you.
Free teaching resources including
a pre-visit lesson plan and activity worksheets can be provided in
advance. Simply ask our Reservations Team when enquiring about your
booking.
City Cruises York offer a unique perspective of York for your school
party to enjoy, as you cruise along the River Ouse. Sailing right
through the heart of the walled city, a great chance to learn and relax.
