Their global tree collection is a wonderful outdoor classroom, bringing the curriculum alive with hands-on experiential learning, first-hand observation and debate.

We offer a range of programmes to suit different year groups, topics and needs.
Whether it is the science of plants and habitats, or natural arts and storytelling, tourism, woodland management or conservation and climate change, why not work with Westonbirt’s learning officers for KS2, secondary, FE and HE groups to explore any one of these topics?

You can either follow a learning programme with enthusiastic, experienced and knowledgeable staff, or come along for a self-guided visit creating your own learning experiences.

Group Rates
For KS2+ groups following led programmes the cost is £5 per student with a minimum charge of £125 per session. 1 free adult per 5 students at KS2 and 1 free adult per 10 students at KS3+. Any adults supporting students 1:1 with additional/special needs will also be free.
All self-guided group visits, under 5s free, 5-18 years £3 each, 19+ £7. 1 free adult per 5 students at KS2 and 1 free adult per 10 students at KS3+. Any adults supporting students 1:1 with additional/special needs will also be free.
How to book groups:
Email learning.westonbirt@forestryengland.uk, or call 0300 067 4856, to confirm the availability of your preferred date and to discuss your requirements. If your preferred date is available we will provisionally book your visit to Westonbirt and email you a booking pack.
To confirm your visit you must complete and return the booking form. Following the return of your completed booking form you will receive your confirmation details. For led visits this will include a timetable for the day, specific programme details and a risk assessment. For self-guided visits this will include copies of trail activity sheets as required, arrival information and a risk assessment.
