The Royal Shakespeare Company

The Royal Shakespeare Company

Create, Learn and Engage. We work with learners of all ages to explore and discover Shakespeare’s plays in performance, in the classroom and online. Bring Shakespeare to life for your students with workshops, teacher training and resources at the Royal Shakespeare Company.

What We Offer Visiting Schools

Take learning to the next level with a school trip to The Royal Shakespeare Company! School tickets are available for all of our productions. £10 per student for State Schools, £16 for Independent Schools, subject to availability.

Combine your visit to see one of our shows with a student workshop or book one independently. We offer Bespoke Shakespeare Workshops for Key Stages 2 – 5, Secondary Study Days and Primary Play Days. Workshops are run on a Shakespeare play of your choice.

You can also book workshops with us for Matilda the Musical, hosted in London.

We offer specific events for individual shows on our stages, including Sixth Form Conferences, School Open Days and Insight Sessions, check the website for upcoming events.

On your trip you can also visit The Play’s The Thing, our free exhibition or book a Guided Tour with one of our expert tour guides.

Why Choose Us for an Educational Visit

Our work with students and teachers uses approaches tailored for the classroom based on how actors and directors work in our rehearsal room. Research into these approaches has shown an increase in students enjoyment of learning Shakespeare and in their confidence as learners.

Our workshops and events get young people to experience Shakespeare on its feet in a fun and inclusive environment!

You can support your visit to see one of our shows or a student event with our range of digital resources for teachers and students.
