Buckler’s Hard

Buckler’s Hard was once a hive of shipbuilding activity, providing ships for Nelson’s victory at Trafalgar.  This historic village, its maritime museum and historic cottage interiors are the focus for educational programmes on shipbuilding and 18th century domestic life, meeting the needs of the modern curriculum areas of history and geography

All programmes are hosted by friendly, knowledgeable and experienced teaching staff and can be adapted to different age groups’ educational needs and for particular interests.

Two popular programmes delivered by our award-winning team include:

Buckler’s Hard – A Shipbuilding Settlement
