Education at CONKERS is based around highly interactive indoor and outdoor experiences, offering a unique mix of Ranger-led and Teacher-led activities, designed to cover the requirements of Key Stages 1 to 3.

    CONKERS can provide tailor made packages to meet the needs of every education or adventure booking.  Teachers or Group Leaders can choose from a wide range of education programmes, team building activities, high ropes and outdoor pursuits. On site, visitors can access our interactive exhibits, our 4D cinema experience, outdoor trails including the Barefoot Walk, the Conkerchoo train and the Adventure Playground.  

    Some of our most popular Ranger-Led Educational Programmes include: Habitats and Minibeasts; Mother Nature Designer; Secret Life of Seeds; Teddy Bear's Grand Adventure; Underwater Wonderland; Woodland Web; Mud Monsters; Bushcraft; Shelter Building and Orienteering.

    Our adventure activities include: kata-canoeing; water walkers; archery, pedal go-karting; mountain biking and a wide selection of High Ropes activities.

    Ranger Led Activities

    Our educational programmes are available for Primary School age groups supporting the following subjects: science, geography, mathematics, literacy, physical education, art, design and technology. All activities are covered by a risk assessment.

    CONKERS can assist your visit planning by offering free pre-visits for teachers and group leaders to help you choose the most appropriate Ranger led activities to suit the needs of the group.

    It's simple, YOU choose the Ranger led activities and we will organise your day’s schedule for you. In addition to your chosen activity / activities, we will schedule train transfers between the two sites, time at the Adventure Playground, time to eat Lunch, time to explore both the indoor exhibits and outdoor trails and time to visit the CONKERS Shop!

    Our Team Building programmes are very popular with Secondary Schools, Colleges and University students and include Bushcraft; Shelter Building; Orienteering; Construction Derby; Assault Course Challenge (13yrs+); Barefoot Walk (blind-folded) and Team / High Ropes Activities.

    Our adventure activities enjoyed by ages 8yrs+ include: kata-canoeing; archery, pedal go-karting; water walkers, mountain biking and a wide selection of High Ropes activities.

    SEN Facilities:

    CONKERS regularly welcomes students from SEN schools and Community Groups.

    By offering free 1:1 carer admission it enables our SEN groups to visit CONKERS on a regular basis promoting learning and personal development.

    Many of our SEN visitors follow a self-led day, enjoying the on-site facilities, however we also work with Teachers and Group Leaders to provide education programmes/activities to suit the needs of the group.

    Pricing Information

    £5.50 per child (3-15yrs) with one adult free with every 5 paying children. £6.50 (16yrs+) in full time education with one adult free with every 10 students. Extra adults charged at £7.50
