This is a perfect first residential experience with a dedicated costumed educator to guide you throughout your stay as your pupils have the opportunity to learn about working together and acquire their independence. There is also an exciting evening programme of Celtic crafts, storytelling, a bat walk and marshmallow roasting.

The Prehistory Adventure (3 days 2 nights)

The Go Tribal Transition (3 days 2 nights)
A dynamic residential designed to develop pupils confidence and communication skills to cope with new situations, ideal for facilitating transition to secondary school.
Pupils will develop a range of woodland knowledge and work together on challenges, getting to know other students and building their own resilience as they solve problems and learn new primitive skills such as orienteering, fire cooking, water purification and wilderness first aid.

    Feasting shelter
Our visitors normally eat outside in our feasting shelter, a covered area with enough room to seat approximately 90 people. We have alternative seating areas if the weather is unsuitable for eating outside.

Our onsite café serves teas, coffees and snacks to adults at various points during your visit. Our kitchen where our chef prepares all the food for your residential has a food hygiene standard rating of 5 out of 5.

    Toilets Facilities
Toilet facilities: standard flushable toilets, urinals and eco composting toilets. Outside and inside hand washing facilities available with soap and paper towels. A shower is available on site in the teacher’s guest room. Normally, just for the adults, but the children can use it if special circumstances arise.

    Sleeping Arrangements
There are seven Roundhouses at Celtic Harmony camp making us the biggest Iron Age village in Britain. Five of these are brand new, with insulated floors and walls; all are very comfortable to sleep in.

We lay thick gym mats on the floors, so pupils only need to bring their sleeping bag and pillows. Boys and girls have different roundhouses and each one can sleep up to 12 children depending on their age.
Teachers may sleep in their own roundhouse or in a bell tents on camp beds and just need to bring their sleeping bags and pillow.

A fully trained and DBS checked, member of staff will always be on site (including overnight) in case of emergency. However, responsibility for the children’s welfare still lies with the teachers in charge of the trip.

The children and adults will be briefed on health and safety at the start of the residential.
