The Deep Events 2011

July 23rd to September 4th – Summer of sharks

Come and find out about the ocean’s greatest predators and the threats they face. With new sharks joining us later this summer and Europe’s only sawfish, there’s lots to do and see. Activities include our shark 3D movie, shark trail and shark related art and craft activities.

July 23rd to September 4th – Amazon explorers’ den

Visit the Amazon explorers’ den this summer and get up close with a range of creepy crawlies.

Throughout the year – Living Rivers

The Deep’s latest exhibit Living Rivers was opened in April 2011 and gives visitors the chance to learn more about some of the world’s greatest river systems including the Amazon, Mekong and Rio Grande. See some fascinating species including red bellied piranha, emerald tree boa, blue poison arrow frog and leaf cutter ants. Also walk through our ‘fog screen’ – it’s truly mistifying!

We also have a number of daily activities including daily dive feedings and presentation.
