Staff at Natureland Seal Sanctuary Skegness are very excited about their latest newborn!

Natureland Seal Sanctuary Skegness

It's the first baby penguin to hatch there for fifteen years! It kept cosy in its nest for the first few weeks during the cold winter but it now takes regular walks outside with its mum and dad Pip and Pepsi.

Open Day for Teachers at Knebworth House Thursday 25th February 2010

The objective of the day is to make teachers aware of the various learning opportunities on offer at Knebworth House, Park and Gardens and acquaint teachers with the history of the House and the educational facilities available for school visits and outreach. Participation is FREE but numbers are limited so we ask teachers to book a place.

Skipton Castle gets a visit from outer space!

Longleat

Five Astronauts from the space shuttle drop in for a visit. The sixth Wakata was still orbiting the world in the space station. It was the first time most of them had visited a real Castle.

York CitySightseeingAs advertised, York CitySightseeing has continued to run regular tours throughout the recent arctic conditions. We even had some hardy souls on board willing to brave the wintry chill and sit upstairs! Although York looked quite magical in its unusual sparkling coat, we are looking forward to the new season, which really kicks off with the Easter holiday, and to showing many thousands more visitors our lovely historic city. We hope we can welcome your party aboard this year – to see the sights basking in sunshine.

On March 17th 2010, professional animator David Bunting will talk about his work for Aardman,  Disney and Duchy Parade Films. With live animation demonstrations and behind the scenes clips, David will chart the animation process from concept to completion, giving an insight into how to tell a good story. .
