The 39th Island Steam Show
23 Aug 2013 - 26 Aug 2013
Big Smiles All Round! An action-packed show and great family day out!
High falls and action stunts from ‘Reel Stunts in Action’, fire-eating from the ‘Joseph Peace Fire-stunt Show’, and knockabout comedy on the tightrope with Bernie Bennett - Stunning shows in the main arena will make you gasp, cheer and laugh, while Mr. Alexander’s Travelling Show returns to enthrall and amuse, plus there’s live music on The Woodland Stage.
See silly things to do with traction engines, and marvel at the fascinating working steam demonstrations. Climb aboard the traditional fairground rides, meet the Blackfoot Lodge in their Red Indian encampment, or simply settle back for a steam train ride through the Island's unspoilt countryside. Around the Show you can relish the sight of beautifully maintained traction engines, vintage cars, motorcycles and old wagons; browse around the fascinating stalls, pick up a bargain from among the country crafts, cool down with an ice cream or a glass of your favourite tipple from our Real Ale bar, and enjoy a good variety of refreshments.
The Island Steam Show will make your August Bank Holiday a weekend to remember!
