The new World Rugby Museum opens at the end of January 2018. With a new location in Twickenham's south stand and dedicated education space there has never been a better time to visit for education groups. Schools are invited to explore Twickenham Stadium with a rugby expert, journey through rugby history in the World Rugby Museum and experience hands-on learning in a free education session from a diverse range of workshops and seminars.

    The new World Rugby Museum opens at the end of January 2018.  With a new location in Twickenham's south stand and dedicated education space there has never been a better time to visit for education groups.

    Schools are invited to explore Twickenham Stadium with a rugby expert, journey through rugby history in the World Rugby Museum and experience hands-on learning in a free education session from a diverse range of workshops and seminars.

    Follow the history of the game in the World Rugby Museum, from its origins in Rugby School to the present day.  Highlights include:  Oldest international rugby jersey;  Play Rugby interactive area; International trophies and Choose your own World XV interactive.

    Visit some of the most exciting and select areas of  Twickenham Stadium, where you can see: England dressing room; Players’ tunnel; Pitch side; the Royal Box and VIP areas.

    Free Workshops and Seminars provide a hands-on learning experience, or the opportunity to discuss the ins and outs of rugby with a professional in the field at Twickenham Stadium.

    Award Winning:  A finalist for Best Sporting Venue in the School Travel Awards 2016/17 and 2017/2018, the Museum’s workshops and Seminars programme has also received the Sandford Award for Heritage Education in 2010 and 2015 and the Quality Badge for Learning Outside the Classroom continually since 2009.

    Opening Times

    Education Visits are booked on request and are available during London Borough of Richmond Upon Thames term time. Youth Groups Visits are booked on request for organisations include those that bring children together: Scouts, Cub, Beavers, Guides, Brownies and Rainbows, Boys or Girls Brigade, Air, Army, Police or Sea Cadets, St. John's Ambulance, Sports groups. Operational hours Tuesday-Friday 10:00-17:00 (Monday's also available in school holidays)
