This summer Marwell Zoo will become the first UK zoo to host a collection of giant LEGO® brick animals. Over 80 stunning sculptures, representing 25 different species, will be installed around the park, offering an exciting and unique trail to connect children with nature.
From 1 August to 1 October, enjoy The Great Brick Safari: An Interactive Experience with LEGO® Bricks EXCLUSIVE to Marwell Zoo! Over 2 million LEGO bricks will be used to make over 80 stunning sculptures representing 25 different species, which are being created by LEGO building company Bright Bricks. Among them will be a 1.5 tonne elephant, a life size Bengal tiger and a trio of Giant panda cubs. Other sculptures will be inspired by their own diverse collection of animals, with a red ruffed lemur, a warthog and a mob of meerkats all featuring on the trail. LEGO fans of all ages will be able to follow the trail with a free spotters guide and also take part in hands on building activities in the Great Brick Building Zone. Create your own LEGO penguin to leave in the ‘March of the penguins’ display, plus, contribute to a giant LEGO snake by building segments of its body to join on to in the ‘Python Marathon’!
