Focus Feature: Remembrance - Media Workshop at the National Memorial Arboretum Friday 17th November
Burton-Upon-Trent

Join us, and Bridie Spicer (as featured on BBC Radio 2) for a literacy and social skills interactive workshop, designed to enhance and hone students’ creative writing, interview techniques and editorial skills. Through this cross curricular activity, students will interview our guests and create their own press conference and journalistic article whilst simultaneously gaining an understanding of the reasons behind conflict. During the session the group will meet the family of a local soldier who lost his life serving in Iraq and gain an insight into the different ways that people cope with loss and maintaining the memory of loved ones. A fantastic workshop to support any SMSCD programme and adaptable for all age groups from KS2 to FE.
