The Seven Egg, Clare Woods Solo Exhibition

6 Jul 2013 - 29 Sep 2013

In 2013 the focus of our visual arts programme will be drawing. Exhibitions in the Terrace Gallery and on the State Floor will explore aspects of drawing throughout history and in contemporary practice.

Clare Woods, has recently had major solo shows at the Hepworth Wakefield, the Southampton City Art Gallery and Modern Art London. Early this year she also installed her commission for the Olympic Park using over 80,000 painted ceramic tiles. This exhibition will present new work made in response to the landscape and collections at Harewood. Not known for her sympathetic depiction of the verdant glory of the British countryside, her work has a sinister and savage edge yet in its entirety presents a startlingly beautiful form.

Visit the Harewood website for more details: http://www.harewood.org/whats-on/exhibitions/1/995
