Once upon a time, in a land surrounded by wonder; where lions roar, Christmas trees sing, and stories come to life, there was a Festival of Light. This winter stunning Chinese lanterns will light up Longleat once more and bring to life the magic of storytelling. Drawing inspiration from classic tales, visitors will be transported into a world of fantasy - a land where mermaids swim, princesses live, firebirds fly and dragons roar!This year's festival will take you on a journey to an enchanted world filled with familiar characters and magical scenes. Get ready to dance with the sugar plum fairy, hide from the wicked Snow Queen and even take a stroll through Sleeping Beauty's castle; this is a place where imagination lives and stories come to life.Using a selection of the most-loved children's stories and lanterns the size and scale of which have never been seen before, this year's Festival of Light will delight the young and the young at heart as fantasy becomes reality.

The world’s favourite toy returns to WWT Arundel in time for the holiday season. The giant sculptures of the LEGO® Brick Animal Trail are back with a brand-new wetland creature! Take a lovely winter walk and find all nine models then enter their contest to win a limited edition WWT LEGO® brick kit by BrightBricks. Kids can do a LEGO® brick 'Make & Take session' to create a Fred the Frog for £5 pp. The nine, awesome LEGO Brick models form a trail for kids (and big kids) to inspire them all to build a better future for nature. Visitors will be able to enjoy the trail of individually-designed 1.5m LEGO® brick animals, some inspired by real species at Arundel Wetland Centre.  Included are an Hawaiian goose (the world’s rarest goose), a red breasted goose, a mallard and a kingfisher. You can also enjoy a hearty breakfast and have a private meeting with Father Christmas at WWT Arundel, to tell him all your Christmas wishes. Don't forget your letters to Santa to post in their North Pole mailbox! Price includes a child’s gift and Christmas crafts.

There’s something for everyone at this festive time of year as a sparkling path winds its way through the Gardens in a magical after dark experience. Birmingham’s newest festive attraction follows a jewel coloured trail amongst glowing hedgerows and under tree canopies drenched in Christmas colour as seasonal melodies hang on the air. Complete your Christmas treat under the stars with spiced cider, mulled wine or hot chocolate whilst the aroma of roasting chestnuts fills the air. They have plenty of costumes for all ages from toddlers to grannies!You can sit amongst the animals in the barn as the Nativity story comes to life around you and follow the sparkling lights to meet Father Christmas in his magical grotto.

Its Christmas capers time and The Deep’s fun-packed Christmas pantomime is no exception! Join Finderella as she returns home from the Prince’s ball in a classic tale with a fishy twist. This laugh out loud performance has bundles of audience participation, so make sure your little ones don’t miss out. It is sure to keep children of all ages entertained.

The Blackpool Tower Circus is proud to present Mooky Dolittle. This a-moosing show will capture the attention of the little ones with performances to entertain leaving the whole family with goose-bumps. Join Mooky and Mr Boo this year with a whole cast of four legged friends for what can only be described as turtley awesome with hilarious comedy capers that will leave you giraffing  for days..

Join Ebenezer's one man promenade theatre at Tudor World as he relates the story of a Christmas Carol in a real haunted house. Ebenezer will take you on a tour of a haunted building to rival Marley's Manor. Only 14 in a tour, only lit by lantern light. Or, for an unusual Christmas Eve, why not start the Christmas Season with a 'chilling' tour of the museum after dark and find out if the ghost tours Christmas Past are still with us? The tour starts with mulled wine and mince pies to keep the spirits up! There is also  a 'chilling' ghost tour on Christmas Eve by lantern light. The tour includes mince pies and mulled wine! May not be suitable for younger children. You can also start off your New Year celebrations with an unusual evening - a 'chilling' ghost tour of Tudor World historic museum. The evening begins with a sparkling glass of Buck's Fizz!

Let the British Motor Museum help you get into the festive spirit with their family Christmas activities. Whether you are looking to escape the Christmas shopping or avoid the cold the British Motor Museum has something for all the family. Enjoy their Christmas trail and help Martin the Mechanic get Santa’s sleigh back on the road so Santa can deliver all your presents! Come and meet Lady Edwards or William her Chauffeur and hear all about the Christmas boxes of goodies that they will be delivering to the servants for Boxing Day. The Christmas Elves will also be stopping by once a day at 1:30pm to take families on a special festive family tour of the Museum.

On Saturday 9th Santa is visiting Leamington Spa with his  Alpine Grotto situated in the Hammam (which used to be the cooling room from the Turkish Baths!) You can enjoy Christmas crafts in the gallery all serenaded by a brass quintet from Royal Spa Brass. Explore the library and gallery with a children’s Christmas trail and a prize draw. Why not buy some unique presents from the Gallery Shop while the children enjoy themselves!

Travel back in time and visit the Victorian Montagu family as they prepare for the festive season of 1889 at Beaulieu. Pose next to the colourful life-size Gingerbread House for the perfect festive picture and follow the dazzling fairy lit pathway to Palace House to see preparations for a traditional Victorian Christmas day panto in action! Sip a glass of warming mulled punch while you soak in the festive atmosphere, with stunning decorations, welcoming log fires and a themed Christmas tree in each room  - including a 25ft tree in the entrance!

The Canterbury Tales is hosting festive fun with Father Christmas in a very special time travelling adventure for children…

Father Christmas has been transported back in time to the Middle Ages and it’s up to you, young adventurers, to save him and bring him back to 2017 in time for Christmas!Our Master of Revels will guide you and your family through a series of festive activities on the medieval streets of The Canterbury Tales visitor attraction. There will be songs, games and dressing up, to get you fully into the Christmas spirit!"Your journey will end with a visit to Father Christmas’s grotto and, as a special thank you, a present from the man himself.
