Stansfeld is situated on the outskirts of Oxford within 17 acres of woodland. With easy access to the city and countryside alike. It sleeps up to 64 in dormitories and 12 in smaller rooms. There are excellent catering facilties, a dining room, a classroom and a recreation room.
Stansfeld is part of the Outdoor Learning Service of Birmingham City Council and situated on the outskirts of Oxford in 17 acres of private grounds by the Shotover Country Park. It offers a residential experience to all groups for up to 64 children on a self catering or catered basis. The centre also gives groups the option to run their own programmes or to book sessions with the tutors.
The grounds are mainly woodlands so excellent for orienteering, shelter building and nature studies. It also has four ponds which can be used for study. There is a low ropes course and many team challenges. Stansfeld also has a five a-side football pitch and an adventure playground. The centre can also provide sailing and kayaking courses with it's local partners.
Being only a 10 minute journey from the centre of Oxford, the world of universities and the history of the dreaming spires. There are also many other attractions for groups in the vicinity including Blenhiem Palace.
The centre is also open to bookings from other groups and has various associations as customers including St John's Ambulance, dance groups and Girlguiding UK.
The centre is open throughout the year and can be booked for a minimum of one night. Please see the website for further details of how to book and the terms of hire.
