Leeds Castle

Listed in the Doomsday Book, Leeds Castle has been a Norman stronghold, royal residence for six medieval Queens of England, palace of Henry VIII and a 1920s country house.

School groups can tour the castle, explore the parklands, gardens, yew maze and underground shell grotto plus let off steam in the Knight’s Realm Playground.

Bespoke 30 to 40 minute afternoon talks are now available on a variety of curriculum subjects as well as a choice of eight interactive themed workshops, delivered by a trained education co-ordinator and focused on requirements of the UK National Curriculum. The workshops cover a range of subjects including English, History, Art & Design, Science, Citizenship and Geography.

Self-guided visits and fun-packed itineraries ensure your school group will learn that there is so much more to Leeds Castle than history.
