Knowsley Safari Park is home to over 200 animals, from African elephants, lions and baboons to deer, antelope and meerkats, plus the Sea Lion Show and Bug House. This beautiful park is open to pre-booked school parties all year round to use as a fantastic learning resource for all ages and abilities.
Knowsley Safari Park is an ideal location for school visits with a focus on wild animals, habitats and conservation. It is one of the UK’s premier animal attractions, bursting to life with lions, tigers, baboons, deer, antelope, zebra, ostrich and more. Drive round the five mile Safari Route in the vehicle you visit us with (take the vehicle friendly route past the badly behaved baboons) and then walk around to see our elephants, meerkats, giraffe, Bug House and Sea Lion Show, all included in your entrance fee.
Our qualified and experienced education staff can focus your school visit, so that teachers and pupils can gain the most out of their day. Teachers are encouraged to purchase a Teacher’s Pack dvd at just £3 (plus £2p&p) Foundation level, KS1 level and KS2 level - with teacher’s notes, activities to do at school, photographs, and video footage- which will enhance your pupils learning experience both before and after your visit. You can also book learning sessions in our Safari School; these half hour sessions include live animals and real animal artefacts for unforgettable experiences. We can take groups of up to 60 people in the Safari School in one session, but prefer smaller groups such as class sizes; and we have no lower limit on the school’s entry offer to enable special schools to take part in these popular activities.
Knowsley Safari Park was awarded the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom’s Quality Badge in 2011 and has an excellent education programme to suit all ages and abilities, just contact us or look on our web site for details www.knowsleysafariexperience.co.uk
