Take your pupils on a journey back in time on one of Britain's finest heritage railways. Travelling through the Bronte countryside in period coaches hauled by a restored steam engine is a treat in itself, but then there is so much else to enjoy. There is the Museum of Rail Travel as well as 6 delightful stations, gas lighting, real fires and a fleet of steam locomotives to see.

The railway has been used as a location for many films including 'The Railway Children. Only a short walk from the old Main Street of Haworth village with its cobbled streets and old fashioned shops and the world famous Bronte Parsonage Museum, this is an ideal trip to teach your pupils about the history and literature of a bygone era.
