Our dedicated team of volunteers provide a range of managed work-shops and rural-craft demonstrations relating to Victorian Life, Rural Life and WWII Wartime themes.

The museum is housed in a majestic Grade II* Georgian Country House and has a vast collection of 1000's of objects wonderfully displayed in 27 period rooms, shops and galleries. There is a beautiful picnic site next to the river which the museum owns and also an activity room which can be used for lunches on bad weather days. The museum was established in 1967 and is a fully accredited museum and operates as a community focused, registered charity.
