BOND IN MOTION, the world’s largest official collection of original Bond vehicles, on display in the National Motor Museum for one year, this collaboration between Eon Productions and Beaulieu celebrates 50 years of Bond movies. A number of new educational programmes are available for the duration of the exhibition linked to the National Curriculum, exploring how the laws of force, gravity, inertia and aerodynamics have helped James Bond achieve his missions.
The National Motor Museum showcases the earliest examples of motoring through to classic cars of recent decades and the famous land speed record breaking vehicles. Formerly the Great Gatehouse of Beaulieu Abbey, Palace House has been owned by Lord Montagu’s ancestors since the Dissolution of the Abbey in 1538. The house was greatly extended into a family home in the late 19th Century and is an excellent centre for our Victorian programmes.
Beaulieu Abbey, a Cistercian Abbey built in 1204 and partially demolished during the Dissolution of the Monasteries. The Domus survived and provides an ideal base for Medieval and Tudor study days.
With an exciting range of educational programmes, Beaulieu and its sister attraction, Buckler’s Hard, offers something for all groups including those with special educational needs. Subjects covered include history, science, art, design and technology, geography, leisure and tourism, English and maths.
“Thank you once again for a super visit last Thursday. As ever, the day ran smoothly and the children and adults thoroughly enjoyed the experience.”
