Schools find that Hollowford is an ideal venue and that’s why it's no surprise that we see the same schools year after year, one school has now been coming for over 25 years and after each visit we are told “that was even better than last year, thank you”. Rather that the traditional end of year trip we finding more and more schools visiting us in the autumn term so that they then have the rest of the school year to build on the learning that takes place during a Hollowford visit.
We encourage pre course visits to make sure you are happy with the arrangements for your visit. Hollowford has small bedrooms, group rooms with TV and Video facilities & an indoor games area. Our kitchen provides healthy meals that children will eat and we are happy to help with all the safety related matters which leaders get involved in prior to taking a group away.

Hollowford is highly experienced at dealing with youth service groups having worked with young people from Stockport, Rochdale, Manchester, Sheffield, Nottingham, Tameside & Wakefield amongst others. We can be very flexible with timings and commonly find ourselves caving with groups at 10pm. As the centre is close to distractions of the village, we have in the past run events further afield. If this could apply to your group please look at Shining Cliff [link]

We are also able to support the Duke of Edinburgh award and have worked on longer term projects with a number of local schools, for example providing the outdoor pursuit element of the school curriculum of a day a week pictures.
